Art classes at Christian Heritage School focus on fostering creativity, historical insight, and technical proficiency across a range of artistic media. Students at CHS develop a deep appreciation for both art and the process of creating it.

Lower School art focuses on introducing students to the process and methods of creating and appreciating art.  Students will:

  • Draw, paint, sculpt, collage and design using a variety of media such as pencils, pastels, markers, watercolors, tempera, and clay to create both 2D and 3D works.
  • In 3rd-5th grade, students will be introduced to the elements of art and principles of design as well as specific artists and/or styles of art.

In Upper School, the curriculum offers a variety of courses, including:

  • Drawing
  • Painting
  • 2-D Design

These classes encourage students to explore how individuals convey ideas through images, enhancing their understanding of the world from a divine perspective.
