Mission

Christian Heritage School exists to partner with parents and churches in fulfilling their God-given responsibilities to teach children that “In (Christ) are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3, KJV) and to provide its students with an education of spiritual and academic excellence with which to serve God.

Christian Heritage School was founded to assist parents in providing their children with a God-centered world and life view. Because "in Christ are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge," we believe there is a clear, critical difference between the biblical and secular viewpoints on any given subject and that no subject can be taught in the totality of its truth when the Creator is denied or ignored. It is our desire and purpose to teach our students that Jesus Christ is to be preeminent in all of life, thereby encouraging them to assess the world according to Scriptural precepts and to inspire them to live by wisdom with Christ-like behavior.

We believe that each student is uniquely created by God in His image as a spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional and social being endowed with particular gifts and talents. In light of this, it is our responsibility to help our students develop these gifts and talents, with particular emphasis on spiritual growth and academic excellence, so that they can better glorify and serve the Lord.

Christian education is primarily the parents' responsibility. Christian Heritage School seeks to partner with parents in the fulfillment of their God-given responsibilities.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Advocate.
John 1:1; Luke 2:35; I Corinthians 15:3,4

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.
John 15:26; John 16:8

We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds of justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become believers.
John 3:3; John 1:12; John 3:16

We believe that water baptism for the believer and the Lord's Supper for the believer (Communion) are ordinances to be observed by the Church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation.
Matthew 28:19; I Corinthians 11:23-26

We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been born anew by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head.
I Corinthians 12:12-14

We believe in the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this "blessed hope" has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.
I Thessalonians 4:13-18

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
I Corinthians 15:51-54

In Parents' Words:

The phrase ‘a calling prep school’ struck a chord with my wife and me.  Assisting children to find their calling and preparing them to be successful in that area has tremendous value.  The idea of CHS being more than a prep school – more than just academic preparation – was exactly what we were looking for: developing the entire person, mind, body and spirit.

My favorite thing about CHS is the mix of academic rigor with authentic Christian experience.

CHS is able to individually bring out the best in students.

As a CHS alum, I know the culture is one that allows my children a great education, combined with team-building performing arts and sports activities, while being surrounded by friends and families of similar Christian values. I believe this combination provides a great foundation of academic and character strength, ultimately leading to greater personal and career stability and success.
