In Lower School Music, students have had fun using world percussion instruments to help tell stories, rhymes and songs, as well as to perform layered patterns. Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade have also learned different folk dances and hand clapping games: Chimes of Dunkirk, Sweets of May, Alabama Gal, Willoughby, Old King Glory, the Virginia Reel, Miss Mary Mack, and Down Down Baby.

Each year, CHS organizes a Veterans Day assembly that welcomes not only our CHS community but also our local community. This event is a heartfelt program dedicated to honoring those who have bravely fought for our freedom. ☕️🥐 A breakfast will be held at 8:00 AM in our Kingsmen Café, which requires registration by contacting pgreer@chskingsmen.org. 🇺🇸🎶 The assembly will commence at 9:00 AM and is open to everyone, with no registration needed. We encourage everyone to join us for this meaningful occasion!
